Haisthorpe House is situated in a secluded yet central area of Windermere in the English Lake District. It is only a few minutes walk from the village centre, local restaurants and the picturesque Lake Windermere. The Guest House is an ideal base for touring and walking holidays or for simply taking in the beautiful Cumbrian scenery.

The house is a picturesque three-storey former gentleman's residence built in 1897, which has been tastefully converted into a Four Star Visit Britain accredited guest house offering excellent quality bed and breakfast accommodation.

We offer a warm and friendly welcome. A relaxed atmosphere awaits you at the guest house where a high standard of hospitality and cleanliness is provided to ensure your stay at Haisthorpe House is an enjoyable and memorable one.

Some private parking is available at the rear of the building and street parking in the bays at the front of the house.

Walled garden to front of the property which has a gated access. Pathway giving access to front door and side pathway with garden bench (to sit and enjoy the birds and garden)

Attractive front entrance porch with mosaic tiled floor and a leaded coloured glass door. (giving a dry, warm welcome)

Hallway has attractive pitch pine wide staircase giving access to landing and guest bedrooms. (which is light and airy)

The Dining Room has an attractive fireplace with cast iron inset and tiled hearth, ornate timber surround and inset living flame gas fire (to warm those taking breakfast on a winter's day.)

Leisure Facilities

Haisthorpe House offers all its guests use of the leisure facilities based at the nearby Old England Hotel.

Facilities offered include Indoor 20 metre Swimming Pool with views of Lake Windermere, Fully equipped Techno gym, Thermal Suite, Rock Sauna, Aroma room and Ice room.
